Platform Analytics Engineer

Computer Science | University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

I spent my early childhood in a remote village in Bangladesh before moving to a relatively larger city, where I studied until the 10th grade. Eventually, my family and I moved to Chicago, which we now call home. Growing up in different places has taught me many valuable lessons, but there are two principles that I always strive to uphold: curiosity and kindness. For my college journey, I attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and studied Computer Science and Mathematics. Currently, I am doing my master at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The deep complexities and limitless possibilities of this field continue to inspire and motivate me every day. In my free time, I love to read, travel, and spend time with my family.

Over the years, my interests have changed significantly, both in my personal life and academically. During my early years of growing up, I was fascinated by the vastness of the sky and the formation of the world. However, my fascination shifted in middle school as I developed a strong interest in math. Initially, I started college with the intention of studying math, but my love for logic and computers leads me to study computer Science & Math. During my internship at Workiva, I discovered a passion for working in the field of Security Operations, leading me to intern there for last 1.5 years and continuing. Lately, I have found myself interested in the following topics:

  • Security
  • Big Data analysis
  • Software Engineering
  • Cloud Computing

On a personal level, I have also been fascinated by the psychology of our brain and the factors that shape our thinking. I enjoy reading about these topics in my free time, particularly exploring how culture influences our decision-making processes.

  • Gardening
  • Fictional Reading
  • Making Memes
